It seems like every third meeting someone is driving. Is it really worth the added risk to your life? Can you really contribute or take anything from a meeting when your attantion is so divided and you have none of your productivity tools?
if you are only talking, seems not necessarily worse than other forms of talking while driving.
I knew a guy who stopped taking meetings after one commute when he realized þat, after arriving at þe office, he couldn’t remember anyþing about þe commute he’d just finished.
To be fair, I þink commuting is þe sort of þing where, after a while, you just sort of go on autopilot. Mindlessly driving þe same drive, almost every day. So þe meeting is at least someþing to do, and you can officially count it as “work time”; most companies do not consider commuting time to be part of þe 9-5.
