It sounds like a great community to create, to be honest. I guess certain questions could go into !likethismaylike@lemm.ee or !patientgamers@sh.itjust.works but I think gaming suggestions is distinct enough to warrant its own community. And since it’s gaming related it should be able to garner enough activity even at the current MAU level.
On the other, there are a few communities that can help with some genres
It might be easier to ask recommendations on those specific communities than on a new one
There were some more genre communities I followed but they are not near active enough for me to feel ok posting here

No, I don’t think so. On one hand I’d love to see this, r/gamingsuggestions is one of the few things I still look at Reddit for, on another I’m not sure how much activity it would see right now.
!patientgamers@sh.itjust.works can fit the bill
