I strongly believe, as I always have, that there is a solution to these problems that doesn’t involve choosing between Palestinian Lives or Israeli Lives.

Israel is an aggressor, even if they were initially attacked first, and it seeks to benefit from war and violence, and this needs to be stopped, but that statement in itself is not anti-israel nor is any pro-israeli stance necessarily pro-genocide. The most pro-Israeli action I can think of is forcefully removing Netanyahu from power thereby averting a coup as he should not be eligible to rule given his many crimes.

Also, I hope we primary the fuck out of Chuck Schumer in 2029 (or even recall his ass) and that Democrats win lots of seats in the next election.

The problem is that when politicians like Chuck Schumer say “pro-Israel” what they mean is “I am in favor of the conflict continuing,” if you read in-between the lines. He is not taking the same humanistic approach you are. I really can’t emphasize enough how much Netanyahu and Israeli Jews writ large want the conflict to not only continue but to escalate (in case it needs to be said, no not all Jews, just specifically the ones benefiting from and perpetuating Israel’s ethno-nationalism, and who also happen to own most of the legal and political power in Israel). That is to say, he enjoys massive support in his own country. Virtually the only major power that is backing them on this is the US. Everywhere else, Netanyahu is internationally recognized as a WANTED war criminal.

Moreover, I take issue with the notion that Israel is simply retaliating against some unprovoked terror attack. October 7th didn’t just, like, happen in a vacuum. I could make comparisons to 9/11 and post-9/11 America–I wouldn’t be the first to compare these things and it isn’t a perfect comparison by any means–but a history lesson is perhaps outside the scope of a comment like this.

the same megadonors, dems just have more obvious right supporters, the DInos. im betting at least the DNC was afraid that trumps gop was getting massively more donations than The DNC, so they probably made deals and a “attempt to win the eleciton”

I’m not sure I follow. Did you mean to reply to a different comment?

Just in case: “I hate establishment Dems.” =/= “I like Republicans.” I have enough disdain in my heart for both. The post is about an establishment Dem, so that’s what my comment was about too. I was directly replying to Chuck’s remarks that “(his) job is to keep the left pro-Israel.”
