Appreciate all the feedback so far!
I’m struggling a little to get the performance I want on iOS. I’m curious if anyone is using an older iPhone. I would love to hear if you think the app feels snappy enough or if there’s room for improvement. If you could leave a comment or DM me with the phone your using and what you think.
Downloaded for my Mac, the first thing I notice is that I am unable to set a default sort for posts, or comments.
Not all of my subscribed communities are listed, despite there being a community panel on the left and a subscribed panel on the right. Neither appear to be in any sort of order, and I do not see a way to order them.
One of the things I like about the stock lemmy web interface is it has a field for a thumbnail, so I always post YouTube videos from the interface so I can ensure there is a thumbnail. Would this be possible to add?
I love the fact there is a draft panel.
Inbox shows read replies, without from what I see, a way to hide those. And I do not see a way to mark replies read.
I really love the way the colored lines are for comment chains.
Keep up the work on this, I am really liking Blorp for desktop.
Just pushed an update!
Close and reopen the Mac app and you should see a prompt to update. Alternatively you can download the update from GitHub.
This update includes:
- An “Unread” tab in inbox
- The ability to mark notifications as read/unread manually
- Create post let’s you include a thumbnail along with a link
- Subscribed communities are now sorted alphabetically
- Moderating communities now show up in the home feed when you select “Moderating”
- And more!
Note: Post and comment sort always remembers what you set them to last, so there is no default sort like Voyager. I know Voyager let’s you customize this a lot more. I chose to keep it simple for now, but let me know what you think.
I would love to work with you more to collect feedback and ship improvements.
Feel free to DM me, open GitHub issues, or message me on Matrix. Thanks for all the fixes, will test tomorrow for you.
