I have a laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 5585, 256gb) and would like to add more storage. I was going to just add a 1TB ssd, but when i opened the laptop up I saw that there is an empty harddrive slot as well.

So should I get some extra storage by getting 500gb ssd and 2tb hdd, or just stick with getting 1TB ssd?

Also would the harddrive make considerable noise? The laptop fans are already annoying enough…
