House dems are PISSED at what Schumer just did. This is the case where outside voices are maximally helpful - when people on the inside of the party want him out. Let’s build continued pressure. This will not happen overnight, it will happened when we keep the pressure consistently high
I can’t find a list of the ten democratic senators that voted no. Can someone help me out?
Found them:
In addition to Schumer, nine other Democrats voted to advance the bill: Sens. Dick Durbin of Illinois, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Gary Peters of Michigan, Brian Schatz of Hawaii, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, and Angus King, a Maine independent who caucuses with Democrats.
These are the Democrats (plus Angus King) who voted to end the filibuster to allow a vote on the budget stopgap bill:
- Catherine Cortez Masto - Nevada
- Richard J. Durbin - Illinois
- John Fetterman - Pennsylvania
- Kirsten Gillibrand - New York
- Maggie Hassan - New Hampshire
- Angus King - Maine
- Gary Peters - Michigan
- Brian Schatz - Hawaii
- Chuck Schumer - New York
- Jeanne Shaheen - New Hampshire
