Maybe I’m reading into it, but it seemed like the officials’ expressions were even more grim at the end. I wonder if he got a talking-to at the end of the day. Well, Shishi’s in the tourney leader group with 4-1 tho.
Shishi definitely has a unique way of setting up before the tachiai. Not sure if it’s against any rules but of course the sumo board doesn’t generally like anything new.

Oh yeah he had a good grip too up til the end! That was pretty skillfully done by Chiyoshoma for sure.

Shishi does not quite move forward as much as other rikishi do, right? It’s quite interesting and seems to work out well for him so far.
