I’d typically just say that his character Doug Ross is a douche, but deep down inside I kind of feel like the character is somewhat of a window into an additionally douchey young Clooney.
Eriq La Salle’s character Peter is a jerk, but you can tell it’s character design. With Doug, you’re definitely left wondering.

I will give Doug a little bit of grace and say he’s pretty good with child patients. If what I said above is true – that we are getting a glimpse of Clooney through Doug – then he’s convincingly kind and warm to kids.
Ok, but then George Clooney is also a gay dog named Sparky.
