Does anyone have experience using the Fairphone 4 in the US? What carrier do you use? I’m thinking about getting one, however I use Verizon and I think I might have to switch to something else.

Yes. Google Fi. No problems with reception.

I will add, the problem isn’t with usability (Google Wallet/NFC works) or reception (great on Fi and I assume T-Mobile as well); it’s with getting parts. You can buy the FairPhone 4 but good luck finding a way to get replacement parts shipped.

I have never used a Fairphone, but there were leaks about a Fairphone 5 coming out, so keep that in mind

  • I’ve got the fairphone 3+ running /e/ os and T-Mobile is the carrier. It works pretty well and I don’t have many complaints. Keep in mind that the FP 3+ only connects to 3G and 4G networks while I believe the FP 4 connects to 4G and 5G networks so I don’t have any experience using 5G. I’m sure it would be fine unless you have any specific reason to doubt that Verizon would work.
