I know audio fingerprinting intro skippers have existed now for a while. I just heard about media segments being introduced. Is there any project that combines the two to make an intro skipper that (eventually, ik segments aren’t supported on most clients yet) work on other clients?
The Intro Skipper Plugin utilizes the new media segments, afaik.
Cool thanks! I installed it to see if it uses them because I couldn’t find it in their docs. Glad to know I didn’t waste time installing and starting it.
Media Segments are a built-in part of the Jellyfin server code now. The plugin saves its detected intros and end credits to the server as media segments.
Ik. I just knew there were intro skippers before jellyfin implemented media segments, so I wasn’t sure if the intro skipper plugins had started using media segments yet.
Fair enough. Yeah, the plugin devs were completely on top of it
