Someone mentioned their location in a post the other day and it got me wondering what part of the world we’re all from. I think I’ve mostly spoken to Europeans which is a surprise.
I’ll go first! I’m in the South of the UK on the coast. We’re having a rare sunny day so I’m writing this on my lunch break on the beach 🏖️

Canadian here - all the way over on the west coast in Vancouver. The air is yellow with smoke as the province and a lot of northwestern Canada burns down, but things could be worse.

It is definitely a bit scary, I’m feeling it less in the UK as a gay guy but it’s picking up here too along with the anti trans aggression. I work for an lgbt+ organisation and we’re having to keep taking steps to protect ourselves, can’t imagine what it must be like for some people over your way

Have seen a few queer stories which have also been quite nice. Once a friend showed me how you can search by categories on the Edfringe website, it’s been so much easier finding these.
If I remember, I’ll report back, but I’m going to see a musical about Alan Turing, and a solo performance called Buff about an overweight guy who gets an Instagram model as a room mate played by Pearse Egan.

Absolutely! It’s about time we had an openly lgbt+ main character on Trek! I get the feeling they wanted to do some before (looking at you Bashir and Garak) but the studios weren’t keen.
Oh your feeling is accurate. The actors for both Bashir and Garak openly said they were playing the characters as lowkey wanting to fuck. They’ve been pretty open about it and open about the studio being iffy on it. It makes their connection so much more interesting.

I have been there! I did some of the most amazing diving on the islands, had a great time there overall.
Can I ask you about the gay kiss thing? To me it seemed like a really bad idea for him to do, pda isn’t okay generally there and it’s well known how the government feel about gay men especially. He’s not even gay which makes me feel a bit differently about it, not sure whether it should though.
