IDK man. The dumb guy here sounds very much like the saying “Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all others that have been tried.”
I don’t like capitalism, but it has seemed to work a bit better than other systems actually tried regardless. 🤷🏻♂️

Bruh what? Tell that to the millions of homeless and sick people dying from preventable diseases every year, suffering from the constant economic crises that happen every 5-7 years, to the people where privitization has destroyed any semblance of function in public services.
Since when did “better” mean “perfect?” What other economic systems have been tried that don’t have not only the same, but also worse issues? Where is this golden economic utopia you seem to think exists in the world? Because even the supposedly communist countries benefit from capitalistic economies.
Just as the quote before about democracy being the worst form of government except for all others; democracy isn’t perfect, but it sure beats the fuck out of monarchies, empires, true republics, and all the other forms of government that exclude the voice of the common person.

It means the rule of the people/majority. Same as how the dictionary defines it.
You know that Capitalism is the total opposite of democracy, right? Only the CEOs and investors get to decide how the economy functions. In socialism, since the workers own the means of production, everyone gets to vote on how the means of production get used. You keep using democracy in an analogy for an anti-democratic system which is capitalism.
You are clearly missing the point here. I’m not comparing democracy to capitalism; I was comparing the quote about democracy to the quote in the comic. 🙄
The simple terms of that sentiment: Capitalism is bad, but it’s still better than other things that are worse.
If this is still confusing, then there’s no point in continuing this discussion, since I’m not going to be able to dumb it down any further than that for you.
