Formed in 1997, their original line-up consisted of Paul Banks (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Daniel Kessler (lead guitar, backing vocals), Carlos Dengler (bass guitar, keyboards), and Greg Drudy (drums). Drudy left the band in 2000 and was replaced by Sam Fogarino. Dengler left to pursue other projects in 2010, with Banks taking on the additional role of bassist instead of hiring a new one. Discussion of the band and its projects. Anything related to the band (including Muzz, Banks & Steelz, Julian Plenti, etc.) is allowed - and be civil!

    Would you maybe consider renaming the community to something like interpol_band so there is no confusion and someone can create a community to discuss interpol?

        Yeah… When I hear Interpol it’s the first thing I think about, not the band. I feel like it has a bigger reach. But maybe that’s just cause I’m a bit of an intelligence nerd.

    I saw a girl in the waiting room of the dentist’s office wearing an interpol shirt this morning - I’ve never even heard this band (though I had a girlfriend who loved them) and then to see the name twice in one day!
