Hey there,

I installed Kasts from KDE on Phosh, all the icons are missing and it therefore is difficiult to use.

How can this be fixed? Do I have to install some sort of icon package?

Maybe someone even knows the exact Debian package that’s missing. :D

I really don’t want to break every other program if I can avoid it.

@erebion @zachdecook Just installing an icon theme doesn’t break anything. It’ll only be used if it provides an icon that no other icon theme has, so maybe the missing one from Kasts.

Also make sure QtSvg is installed. For #postmarketOS that would be qt6-qtsvg

I’ve tried installing an icon theme. Still no icons. I installed breeze-icon-theme, still the same result.

Edit: I’ve also tried setting it in GNOME Tweaks, but that just made all of Phosh look weird and did not make icons appear in Kasts.

@erebion Maybe make a separate user, set the breeze icons as default for that user, and override the desktop file for kasts to launch it as that user?

Otherwise, I think the KDE folks had some change that’s coming down the pike to work around Adwaita icons not following the spec. @bart

I’m on Debian, that’s the reason I asked whether anyone knows the right Debian packge. :)

For now I use the Flatpak version, but that one has other issues, it does not keep the phone awake and once it suspends Bluetooth gets disconnected as well, which is fiddly.
