Personally, I think a dungeon crawling ARPG is the right way to go for AV. I’m not so set on the game being an exact replica of tabletop play, there are other APs that are better suited to that.

I don’t think it’s for me. I’d be much more interested in something that came close to a faithful mechanical reproduction of pathfinder 2e. Still, I hope the various licensed games coming out do well.

  • I am mildly interested but not interested enough to back it on Kickstarter. I am reserving judgement until it comes out. I do hope it’s fun, though, and I hope we get more Pathfinder video games.

As long as it used the PF2E rules and not PF1E or D&D or none of the above, then I’m for it.

But it’s not using the rules of the actual tRPG, then I’d give it a pass. But that’s just me. I’m not really into video games. But I am when they have the right angle to them.

Also - I’d need to be able to mod it to a Skyrim / Sims 4 level of modding. Even if I could only do that in an offline mode - that’d be what I’d need to maintain interest.

I’m not sure how much the ruleset is going to translate to an ARPG, but I feel like they did say it was based on the PF2e ruleset, not the PF1e rules. I’m pretty sure basing a Pathfinder game off the D&D ruleset is not in the realm of possibility, given the current friction between the two companies.
