    Doesn’t the DMV collect and sell your personal information to third parties as well? We need some personal privacy laws with teeth if people are just going to pass around our sensitive info like poker chips.

    • You can look into EU’s GDPR if you want to advocate for personal data protection. I guess similar legislation could be implemented in the US at the state level. Also, is there going to be a trial so that people can get a nice $25 check?

    I wonder if Google and friends lobbied states without much cash to push legislation which would require citizens live in their ecosystem. It’s a good idea, just dirty.
