    Can’t help but note he didn’t bring up Francoist Spain, who did this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_Archive_(Francoist_Spain), and chose to focus on the Inquisition which mostly targeted the Conversos, who were no longer Jewish.

    One of the many reasons it was such a travesty is that they had, by most accounts, genuinely converted to Christianity. First they were forced to give up their religion by their kings to be allowed to stay, and then the Church persecuted them anyways.

    Guess where they actually found (relatively) safe refuge, btw?

    Hint: It wasn’t in Christendom
