I love sync, so I hope he gets to it!
Long-time Sync user here, now on kbin. I’m hopeful that cross-compatibility will be considered, like Hariette’s Artemis app which aims to support both kbin and Lemmy (and both Android and iOS). I’d love to jump back onto Sync, but probably not if I have to move off kbin to do it.
Where can I find the Artemis app? I’m absolutely dying to use kbin outside of a browser on mobile

That would be lovely, Sync is a great app.
Honestly? I would pay the premium for every quality app for lemmy/kbin. You had Sync, Relay, Boost, RiF on Android for reddit. If those were ‘ported’ for activitypub I would pay for each and every one. Even if it meant I used only one of them.

Still holding out hope that it will be platform-agnostic enough to be used for both of the Fediverse link aggregators: Lemmy and Kbin.
Adding my support for Sync for Lemmy.
This is not the real Sync dev, it’s someone pretending to be him. The real account for LJ Dawson is @ljdawson. He confirmed that via his Reddit account. The community he established for the Sync for Lemmy app is @syncforlemmy.
Well… it’s a verbatim qoute from the linked Reddit post. I’m guessing the intent was to help people avoid patronizing Reddit rather than impersonate.
Unlikely, considering they didn’t try to clear up the confusion and that they continued replying as if they were LJ Dawson.
Hear me out: they have two comments in their history. One is a verbatim quote and the other is a response to the following question:
“Great to see you’ve got an account here. Been a sync pro user for a long long time. How are you finding Lemmy?”
How is this guy supposed to know that the person replying thinks he’s ljdawson just from looking at his inbox? Is it really that far-flung to assume that he thought he was being recognized based on his username from Twitter/Reddit?
Sync was my app of choice for Reddit. I would love to be able to use it in the Fediverse.
I’d definitely be a happy “Sync for Lemmy” user.

Yeah, the post history is dubious. I’ll wait for confirmation from his Reddit account, because at least I know that’s actually LJ.
Edit: This is not LJ Dawson, this is an impersonator. The real account is @ljdawson, and he created the community for the new Sync app at @syncforlemmy.

As a long time Sync Pro user, I’d absolutely love this. I’d also love for the ability to add a kbin account.
