“Country threatens to kill civilians unless terrorists do as they say” Yeah, I’d say that’s not gonna work, but the whole point of this ultimatum is to justify the slaughter of Palestinians.

In the long run it’ll probably work out for Hamas too. Watching friends and family get murdered will probably radicalize a lot of folks and drive up recruitment.

Absolutely. The worse the atrocities of the fascist apartheid regime, the more influence and thus power Hamas gain.

This genocide is the perfect example of how the “war on terror” is inherently an unwinnable quagmire that ultimately results in nothing but further needless deaths and misery for innocent civilians.

In a televised address, Benjamin Netanyahu once more rejected Hamas’s demands for a definitive end to the war in Gaza, saying that any permanent ceasefire would allow the group to remain in power and pose a continuing threat to Israel.

So they are saying it’s genocide now, or genocide in a month. Not much of a choice.

The only difference between those two options is how much ammo Israel has at the ready. A month would be plenty of time to bolster that…

They can’t really stop it. Israel already said they stop fighting but are still going to invade Rafah. That’s not how stop fighting works. And Israel will start to take the land in the end and tell loudly there should be no fighting back because cease fire. Technically not genocide, but forced displacement is also again human rights.

nothing’s really a genocide as long as ur the victor u get to write history.

As much as I don’t like like this statement, that’s indeed the facts - The powerful writes the history. They even can keep a blind on the genocidal parties and bring them o assimilate into their society as long as it is to their advantage. At least that’s what happened to Nazis luminaries that happened to move to the other side of Atlantic and behind the iron curtain.
