    I tried out FreeBSD about, oh I’m not sure, maybe 15 years ago. I really liked it. The filesystem is much cleaner than Linux, and it was a nice experience. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I’m GPL for life and the BSD license just wasn’t sitting well with me so I went back to Linux. If you haven’t tried it out, and you’re not a gamer or whatever, I suggest trying it out. You might really like it.

    Which BSD would be the best as a “normal desktop” system?
    Focus on least tinkering necessary to get a browser open and connected to wifi?
