      The perfect timing would have been at the show’s release, but we both know it would have been an even bigger broken mess than whatever this turns into.

      They are more worried about new players than the ones that gave them money almost a decade ago. This upgrade gives them an excuse to put the game on storefront pages again.

        Not true. You can always use steamcmd/the steam console to download any old version

        There’s even tools to help with that

        Might depend on the game, but it doesn’t look like you can with FO4 unfortunately. Some folks might have to roll back with a cracked/“pirated” version of the game they bought because they chose not to allow rollbacks for the game. Weak sauce Bethesda.

    My first step when modding a game is to turn off Auto-Updates for this reason.
