(location: Germany) are there ANY decent, affordable winter gloves WITHOUT leather? I can’t seem to find any in the shops that I frequent. i think so far i found one pair that wasn’t in the shop when i went there.
Curious: why no leather? Is it for the rain? (I’m from Australia so I don’t have any really warm gloves)
don’t know about OP, but I’d also like to know of some winter gloves because I’m vegan and don’t really want to buy/wear any leather
I hope you saw the comment on here about the Andromeda gloves.
Jup, same reason
https://andromedamoto.com/products/meteor-winter-gloves always nice to run into another vegan motorcycle rider 😉
I am so anxious coming from Reddit where it was always a risk statig that I’m vegan. Happy it’s more friendly here 😊
Eh there’s still assholes here it just gets called out easier here.
I’m just glad there’s enough vegan motorcyclists out there to sustain a store 😁🐇🌱
I’ve bought them now. I’m a bit mad over the high delivery fee. But…well now I’m gonna get them. What do you ride?
I am very spoiled I daily a 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and a 2014 KTM Superduke R 1290! How about you?
I took a spill on the superduke with the summer version of the gloves and my hands were unscathed if that helps you justify the shipping.
I just bought them 😁
I just bought a used Honda cbf1000s. I’m really happy with it. I took a look at the tiger, nice bike. Do you do off-road?
Naw I am on pavement but my next purchase is a dirt bike. Kind of waiting to see what Triumph’s dirt bike looks like. If I don’t like that I might get a KTM enduro R because I am wanting to get into sumo just because it’s so much cheaper then the superduke 😅
well i understood some of those words :D i never was one for enduros or dirtbikes. i was always going for touring/street bikes. did you find it difficult riding while being vegan? there’s so much leather everywhere…
I am very spoiled I have two! I daily a 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and a have a 2014 KTM Superduke R 1290! How about you?
It looks like they all at least have leather on the palm for grip.
That’s what I see. But winter/snow gloves are usually full textile
I believe the leather is there to provide additional grip. Unlike regular cold weather gloves, motorcycle gloves that palm grip is critical to safe operation. I remember seeing some gloves that had a rubber/silicone type palm coating, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere.
Thanks for checking tho
