Time to make that move to a company that respects you.

Wondering how many employees don’t live near a Dell office? I guess that they are screwed.

I assume that many teams are spread around the country, so even if you go to an office, you can’t in person collaborate with your team anyway.

Same with my company. One is in New York, some luve in southern California, some in the bay area, a few in the northwest. We’re all within 20 miles of an office vut 100% of the meetings would be one or two of us in an office video conferencing with others who are also video conferencing… Like, what’s the point of that? Oh, right, control.

So, don’t buy a feel in the next few years as the talented people are going to leave.

Time for all the good employees, worthy of promotion, to go elsewhere. Dell’s strategic direction is the “Dead Sea effect”.

Working from home made me realize how much I hate working in an office environment.

Working remotely made me realize that I wasted 4 hours every day on the commute. It made me able to work, spend time with my family, AND still have a hobby.

There’s other WFH options that won’t play silly games to try to force a RTS. They’re becoming very competitive, but they’re out there

My work has become one of the few places that’s still fully remote and it got so competitive my boss is having a field day in recruitment. The standards got so high I don’t even think I can still get in if I applied today. The big tech layoffs certainly didn’t help.
