Perfect timing for the sentiment. NF Canada axed the $10 stream last month, so now it’s just godforsaken ad stream or the whopping increase to $15. I cancelled last month before this happened, so I won’t get the grandfathered $10 plan. Perhaps a blessing in disguise, because this tactic feels ever so much like being held hostage.

    Screw Netflix!!

I heard a lot from people who are both anime-fan and works in anime publishing that, they are actually non-ironically excited about it.

I personally wouldn’t touch it, just like the anime, not because they are bad, but because they are like 2000 episodes.

I’m curious enough to try it. I’ll ditch it if the first two episodes are terrible, and continue watching if it’s either good or fun-bad.

Im definitely gonna watch it. After 20 years of watching and reading one piece, at this point its hardly a choice. Besides, the second trailer looks pretty decent. At worst, I can make fun of how terrible it is lol

It’s looking pretty good actually. Even more if you consider how shitty the anime has been for half of its run.

If they deliver something on the same level as the trailer this would be the first case I would recommend a live action as a better manga adaptation than an anime.

The anime adaptation isn’t that great. The pacing is awful since it’s weekly and they have less than one 20 page chapter for each 20 min episode. At least the animation improved in the Wano arc.
