From what I was seeing, this is basically the last thing they do. They’ve built the case against him, an indictment is pending, and this is his last chance to plead his case before the charges come

Sorry, can’t keep track of all of his scandals, illegal dealings, and treasonous activities.
That’s partly by design, overwhelm the public so they stop believing that it’s all true and they start getting away with some of it.
This is the precursor to him being charged for his January 6th coup attempt.
He was also offered to appear in front of the January 6th coup attempt grand jury. He declined.
By the end of July or early August, Trump will be facing another 100+ charges.
You should see the letter he sent to his followers. Some of the most bizarre and unhinged stuff I have ever seen. Random capitalization, dropping weird nicknames he’s made up, and long run on sentences. It’s crazy to think someone that incoherent was once president.
