Do not underestimate the crazy work you’ve done with Connect. It is hands down the best client out there, and am incredibly grateful for it

Currently reading this via Connect, and this is a fantastic thing to see. Genuine respect. 🤌🏼

I’m the weirdo who had 3 different Lemmy apps on his phone trying them all out to see what worked best for me and Connect was definitely one of the ones that stood out. Keep up the good work!

Gotta say as a long time sync user, I just downloaded Connect to try and it’s really good! Feels somewhere between Sync and Boost

Thank you for Connect! I was using Join for Reddit, and Connect works like a charm for me. There are a couple of bugs, but I’m happy as can be. I know you work hard on Connect. “Tap tap hold and slide” would be nice for zooming in pictures, btw. Keep up the good work. I’m pretty sure that Connect is the right one for me.

I checked out connect because of the comments here, and I have to say that’s it’s freaking awsome. Really lives up to the sync feel. Keep up the great work👌

Using Connect right now. What I really care about is a Frontpage widget like RIF. I’m holding open real estate on the main screen of my Android. Basically the first dev to have that and a decently usable interface (bonus points for a “black” mode) gets the space :)

I appreciate your work on Connect. I used every lemmy/fediverse app there is on Android and have to say that the experience on Connect has been great. Unfortunately, my loyalty does lie with Sync, and as you said in your comment, Sync still had more features than Connect does currently. I’d be glad to donate for your work and helping me ease into the fediverse while I am waiting for Sync. However, I don’t see an option to donate to you in app or anything like that. If you let some of us know, I’m sure there’d be more people other than myself willing to contribute and show their appreciation of your app.

See the bottom of settings in Connect. There’s a "buy me a coffee’ link there 👍

Thank you so much for your hard work. It’s a pleasure meeting you here. Im a reddit refugee and randomly picked an app out of a few options and the improvement has been great.let me know anyway I can support.

Since you’re the dev, maybe you can answer a question I have. I just downloaded Connect and noticed if I select a post from a different instance, it won’t let me comment or anything saying that I’m not logged in. Is that a bug or am I just not doing something right?

I can comment here using Connect while being logged in on another instance.

Edit: When you go to the sidebar (Ξ), you should see your account selected at the top. Is it there? Further down, you should see settings. Under settings, you should see your instance selected. Is it the right one?

Hmmm. I must be doing something wrong then. I’ve only been using the app for a couple of minutes so I’ll have to keep playing with it.

Disclaimer: Sorry for spamming this. I’m not sure how notifications work on Lemmy.

I figure out what I was doing wrong. I was tapping on the picture which was taking me to the original URL (which was on lemmy.ml) instead of opening it up through lemmy.world.

Now I just have to figure out why I can’t see your comment through Connect. I see the comment in my inbox and when I select it I get taken to this post but I don’t see this comment or any of the comments in the chain starting with my original comment. I had to post this reply through the web browser.

I’m using connect and am enjoying it. It works really well. I would like an option to always open links in the system browser instead of the built in one.
