I read the novel The Overstory: A Novel this year and it has a great idea to it. A big focus is on the last Chestnut in America and the people who are in the layers of its life. The thing that I really liked about the story is when one of the main characters has this moment where they realize the trees are talking and laughing about how absurd humans are for caring that trees are dying. Like all live things, they die. Like all things alive, there will come a time when the last one of that kind will die. But always there will be something else to replace it. And that something else will be different but it could only come about if the other dies.
Its a good book but very long and a little trying at times. But I give it a 4 out of 5 and I am glad I made it all the way through.

I believe it!
