Robert Anton Wilson had a profound effect on me as a 19 year old. His books introduced me to Korzybski, and I bought a copy of Science and Sanity to read on my lunch breaks, while I was working as a labourer on farms. It got me interested in maths, and I went to university to study electrical engineering (which Bob also studied) so I could understand the maths in the book.
A while ago I bought a copy of Trajectories (which can be found on the internet archive https://archive.org/details/chaosbeyondbesto0000wils/mode/2up). I was over joyed to discover that the book contained a personal letter from Bob that was hand signed. I’ve redacted personal info from it, and although it is a personal letter, I don’t think Bob would mind, since he was quite open about his health issues later in his life.
I love the use of different calendars, highlighting the arbitrariness of time keeping in different cultures.
If you’re old like me you can hear the dot-matrix printer rattling this thing off. Love it.
