    Blair Mountain, where the mine owners sent the pinkertons, police, national guard to fight their own workers. And when that wasn’t enough, they used surplus World War 1 ordnance to do air strikes on them. That’s right, they bombed their workers from airplanes.

    It is still the largest instance of internal violence in the US apart from the civil war. And given how much violence there is in the US, that’s saying something.

    It is an example of what unregulated capitalism looks like.
