& I’m doing pretty good! The wefwef app has done a great job of recreating the Apollo experience and has made it a lot easier to not want to go and download the Reddit app. The more active it gets here, the easier it’ll be. How are you guys doing so far? Have you found an App for Lemmy that you prefer the most yet?

For some reason, wefwef was very buggy for me and kept throwing errors at me.

I use Memmy and I’ll probably stick with it!

It just had an update that fixed it, something to do with lemmy.world’s recent update.

Will have to try it again then! Though I really like Memmy and I’m getting used to it.

Yea man, I thought wefwef was the one, but I dislike not having a default sort option, nor tapping the top of the screen to return from the bottom of a comment chain [for example]. I’m sure it’ll get there. IDK anything about these web apps, and if they’re limited in their functionality but it LOOKS really really fucking good for an early app.

Memmy is solid and it’s my most used so far, it’s fun to hop between all though now that the instance is a bit more settled tonight.

I’ve said this a million times it feels like already on the fed, but any app that gets ‘auto mark read’ for scrolling posts, will be my winner. Apollo spoiled me on that for brainless scrolling.

Yeah I felt the same, it looks just like Apollo which is awesome. It’s already amazing for a web app and I’m sure it’ll get better over time.

I prefer Memmy’s sorting and overall appearance, however. It’s missing comments editing though, hopefully it can get that soon. Cheers!

Maybe I need to try memmy then. It’s a learning curve with this open source stuff.

Give it a whirl man, it’s pretty close to Apollo as well. It’s just a little more solid right now than wef. Good luck!

Tried to join the beta in test flight but says it’s full. Should I just check back after some time? Or am I doing something wrong? Lol

Don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. You :

                  • install TestFlight
                  • head to the Memmy page on Safari and click the button to start testing

If it says it’s full, it probably is. Check back later :(

Trying out Memmy here as well and enjoy a bit more than Wefwef. Feels similar to Apollo. And glad that the devs are actively listening to feedback from the alpha testers. :-)
