I have once again succeeded with a prank, tho shorter than I wanted.

    Nope. I know, I am boring, but I don’t like pranks.
    I also feel like they bring distrust to people. The more pranks someone does, the less you’ll trust them and believe them.

    But hey, it’s also possible I just haven’t witnessed any normal pranks, but just “pranks”.

      Imo it relies on an existing dynamic between people for pranking to really work well, such that the “victim” is generally aware that a prank is on the table, and they know that it’s not malicious, along with the prankster knowing the general limits of their target.
