Hear me out: they have two comments in their history. One is a verbatim quote and the other is a response to the following question:
“Great to see you’ve got an account here. Been a sync pro user for a long long time. How are you finding Lemmy?”
How is this guy supposed to know that the person replying thinks he’s ljdawson just from looking at his inbox? Is it really that far-flung to assume that he thought he was being recognized based on his username from Twitter/Reddit?

Well… it’s a verbatim qoute from the linked Reddit post. I’m guessing the intent was to help people avoid patronizing Reddit rather than impersonate.

Still holding out hope that it will be platform-agnostic enough to be used for both of the Fediverse link aggregators: Lemmy and Kbin.
Sync was my app of choice for Reddit. I would love to be able to use it in the Fediverse.
