They weren’t thinking about iran 5 days ago.

These motherfuckers blew a fucking country up to distract us from whats in those files. To buy themselves a few more days, a few more hours, they blew up a whole fucking country while spewing hateful religious zealotry.

What exactly do you think is going to happen if there isn’t a distraction. Damning stuff already came out in the Epstein files. It’s not like a bunch of arrests were made. The predators can’t be held to account if they’re the ones running the government and no, I don’t just mean Trump. His main thing is that he embodies the empire’s nature in a very transparent way. He’s not actually exceptional as brutality goes (maybe only in his willingness to attack US citizens directly, but I think that’s more an embodiment of the empire thrashing in its decline than it is about him specifically).

This isn’t a new thing or an exceptional thing either really, look at COINTELPRO or the MOVE bombings, the US state has always been fine with assassinating, bombing and murdering its own citizens if it serves political objectives.

Hard to get less open than carpet bombing a neighborhood or directly killing the heads of movements like Fred Hampton - I think its more that its happening to the settler class/white people now as well that it seems different.

I think you’re right and I was incorrect to use phrasing that suggested Trump is more brutal. As we often end up back on w/ regards to him, one of the key differences is that he’s mask off in doing the things that others were already doing before him - as in, previous brutality made more of an effort to build up to and massage narratives justifying it. Trump/admin does some of that, but he’s also more prone to saying the quiet part out loud and proud, making a mess of the work of propagandists in the process. But this is also in comparing him to the modern liberal order. If we go back far enough in US history, I’m not sure he is even stand out as being mask off.

I agree, I think its important to keep it in mind there are no ‘golden’ years of America, just different stages of the mask being off for other groups. Now the mask is off for everyone but the upper class and there are no more protected classes of people within America, the apparatus has finally had to turn on everyone in order to sustain itself.

Chief, no one is going to be punished for the Epstein files. Iran is not the distraction; Iran is the priority.

The Empire is just run by idiots.
