I haven’t played in years and always played ultra vanilla, no resource packs, no nothing.
When I built my gaming server, I managed to snag a RTX 5090 before the market shit the bed, so I figured what better way to test its full capabilities than with a shader pack?
Hey, it looks pretty good!
I paired the following shaders and resources, and it’s a really nice balance:
I’m pretty satisfied, though as a final touch, I’d like to find a mod or something that extends the render distance farther than the current max.

It’s raining at Funhole spawn camp.
that looks nothing like any minecraft i ever played! very pretty

My real-time shadows being off does not explain why you’re image is so much more shiney. Is it the resource pack?
I don’t think it’s the resource pack, I assume it’s in the settings on the shaders I’m using. I say that, because I did notice that when I adjusted shader reflections from half-res to full, the rain reflections got even more detailed.
Apparently its a setting “puddles in rain” but changing reflections to full res does also look a lot nicer in general.
I haven’t decided if I’m a fan, to be honest. I think I absolutely would be if it rendered droplets in addition to the shininess. But I haven’t seen that as an option yet.
