It’s about the progression of someone who thought they were “broken” and learning that they are actually not “broken”, as in the “brokenness” was put on by the standards that he thought he had to live up to. The Lyrics “there is no such thing as human debris” is a great way of pointing this out.
Many Bad Religion songs have this theme of rejecting the hard boxes greater society puts on people and figuring things out your way.
