Yeah, it’s “AI Slop.” I don’t care. I’m looking for answers. I was watching a video that suggested Descript, so in researching that, I came across this. In further research, I’m not sure my device has enough resources to make running DaVinci feasible, especially if upgrades are delayed. But text editing a video while also being able to add various language subtitles without hand-transcription is extremely appealing, in itself.
Has anyone monkied around with any lightweight, text-based video editors you’d recommend (bonus for FOSS)?

I saw the article mentions Audopolis. It’s FOSS, seems small, and its README says it “can automatically transcribe your audio to text” and “can be used for Video, Audio and mixed editing”.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I’m not sure if it’s merely my eyesight, or that with other factors like age, being in not too-challenging Lemmy spaces, overwhelm, etc.
Being constrained from moving my ass is brainrotting.
