      Electricity from wind and solar are already cheaper than gas in lots of places, and would be in more if not for fossil fuel industry subsidies. And it’s coming down quickly.

      The thing about electric heating is that heat pumps can move several units of energy for each one they consume. So theyre far cheaper to operate than you would expect. They’re cheaper to run in mild climate even when electricity is 3x the cost per unit of energy.

      Couple that with lower health care costs, and they’re very much worth having entire communities make the switch
