    HMD tried the high end and it didn’t work out well for them. They quit supporting the Nokia 9 like a year before what was promised.

    But they are doing okay at the low end, which is where all of their current devices have been since about 2020. I doubt there is incentive to try mid-range flagship killers. This phone does what 90% of people need and that will be fine, and if they are going to concentrate on low-end range, at least the devices are somewhat repairable which is a win.
