Apple today seeded the fifth betas of upcoming iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 updates to developers for testing purposes, with the software coming two weeks after the release of the fourth betas. Registered developers are able to opt into the betas by opening up the Settings app, going to the Software Update section, tapping on the "Beta Updates" option, and toggling on the iOS 17 Developer Beta.
I haven’t tried the new beta. But I’m using the last one as a daily driver and it’s been great so far.
Do you use your phone a lot? I use mine for work a lot but I really want to try the new beta. I’m so worried something will break at the worst time while I’m working.
Then don’t do beta.
I’m now trying the newest beta. In my opinion, it’s the most stable beta iOS ive ever tried. Everything runs smoothly.
Yes, I’m a very heavy user of my phone. All of my passwords are stored here. Even my contacts and email I access through my phone.
I suggest that if you’re going to try installing the beta, back up everything first.
Thanks for the info! I may give it a try. Still worried though, haha.
So, did you try it?
Past week was hella busy for me work-wise. I chickened out, didn’t want to risk anything when I’m so busy and so reliant on my phone.
My wife has an old SE or (maybe SE2?) laying around that I might try first. That’s probably the smartest thing for me to try right now. I hate being so reliant on a phone for work but it can’t be avoided.
