minus-square@Dyf_Tfhlink3•11 months agoIt is a weight tax that start around 1700kg if i recall. Just enough that anything bigger than “french sized” SUV has to pay a tax in addition to the CO2 tax.
France taxes automobiles in a way that substantially discourages the largest and most polluting ones. Corresponding taxes in the UK are much lower.
Germany does the same. You think you only have to pay a teeny tiny bit of tax and WHAMMO, added CO2 emissions surcharge.
And still far too many people drive compensation vehicles.
Wait you guys are taxing the worst offenders more?
