A federal judge in Texas has issued a temporary pause on the Biden administration’s new protections that would allow immigrant spouses of U.S. citizens a path to citizenship.
The fact that these cases always first get filed and heard in these right wing circuits is a testament to right wing Republican AGs’ use of judge/circuit shopping.
I’d suggest that any future judicial reforms (SCOTUS, etc) also include the creation of a special national circuit focused solely on national legal issues involving the federal government - with built in safeguards against that circuit being packed by either party
