From Software's "Souls" series has given rise to a whole sub-genre's worth of similarly styled action RPGs that range from fantasy to sci-fi, indie to AAA, and 2D to 3D.
Depends who you ask, really. I’ve seen people say it isn’t and that it’s more like Nioh than a soulslike because of Team Ninja involvement. Then I’ve seen others call Nioh a soulslike, but say SoP isn’t one.
There’s loads of opinions on what a Soulslike is when it comes to this game. But, the Wikipedia definition puts it as a soulslike, if it is to be believed.
