He’s mad cause the Democrats are absolutely crushing it. They went from being over 3 points behind in most polls with Biden, to now being almost 4 points ahead on average. He’s ignored the advice of all his campaign advisors… he really couldn’t help himself. Now he’s relying on Elon to help him “win” the election and it isn’t working as expected. All they have left it is perpetuate conspiracies & lies and hope that Twitter (X) has enough reach to change the outcome of the election. Musk isn’t even hiding that he’s manipulating the algorithms and allowing bots to run rampant anymore. THAT is their strategy to try to win. If he loses then Musk will immediately try to sell if he can, but X is now worth a small fraction of what he paid for it. I’d be surprised if he could get 2 billion for it. This was in 2023:

Musk will have literally thrown away $40+ billion if Kamala wins.

Musk has definitely thrown away $44+ Billion, regardless of the election outcome. He didn’t buy twitter BECAUSE he wanted to manipulate an election in the future, he bought it because if he didn’t the SEC had him dead to rights on stock manipulation charges. Musk had been openly claiming he was gonna buy twitter at meme-stock prices, driving up the stock price, without disclosing that he already owned a lot of twitter stock. He HAD to act like he meant it. It’s also why he did everything he could to back out of the deal, including making up bullshit about how twitter lied about the state of the platform, he didn’t want to go through with it. But Twitter came correct, proved they had their shit right, and literally forced him to go through with the sale.

If I had a legally binding offer of a billion dollars for my picket lint, I’d force that deal through, too. I kinda hate that Twitter sold out, but I wouldn’t have done any different.

One of the sellers will go back and buy it off him for 250 million in a few years and have their cake and eat it, too.
