minus-square@Eheran@lemmy.worldlinkfedilink-1•3 months agoSo is walking and almost anything else we do with legs, since that is the only real motion they ever do: back and forth. Walking would at least be the correct speed and alternating legs, but still be a terrible name for that leg swinging.

It’s the same motion
So is walking and almost anything else we do with legs, since that is the only real motion they ever do: back and forth. Walking would at least be the correct speed and alternating legs, but still be a terrible name for that leg swinging.
Walking is for the purpose of moving though. I suppose you could say they are kicking the air if that makes more sense.
