There’s a slow elevation change across the Midwest to the Rockies. Second, Passes are a thing. Still, wagons crossing the Rockies is an amazing thing.
I mean its zero to 14.5k feet. Hike to the top of Mount Whitney and tell me again it’s exaggerated.
