That litter box looks tiny or these are some very large tiles. Either way it’s probably worth getting a covered litter box, no more sand everywhere

If we get a covered box, the entrance will probably be too high, again. My elderly, female cat has trouble getting into it. She will start pooping on the floor.

Just FYI, it was a “large litter box” as the sticker says on the side. Maybe I should look into a small, plastic, kiddie pool and fill it with litter instead.

If money were no object: https://a.co/d/fvO9Zn4 Imagine your picky pet dropping a deuce in this bad boy.

Poor sweetie is doing the best she can, pooping in the box and THOROUGHLY burying it! My old cat did that until the day she died. But our present cat is unclear on the concept; she scratches at the plastic edge and in the air, then walks away with the poop still proudly and aromatically perched atop the undisturbed litter. It’s a tradeoff.

I don’t know about other countries, but here in the US I have always felt litter boxes were too small. I just get a plastic bin and cut it down and smooth the edges.
