I guess I’m not getting it, but I am sincerely trying.

To your elaborarion, I think that the cracks have been forming in unregulated capitalism for a long time, and I agree that there is a neoliberal tilt in even the most well-meaning of journalism. It took me a very long time to see it because it (capitalism) was the background to everything. Only when I started exploring philosophy and economics did I understand that there were alternative ways of life.

I appreciate your replies because I agree with you more than I realized. The good news is that I also believe the upcoming generation sees the flaws in capitalism as well, and they’re as sick of it as we are.

I don’t follow your meaning on the Russia stuff, but appreciate your time and effort. I’ll give your words more thought.

Appreciate the good faith response, it’s not very common that we get people in here who are actually willing to learn, most of them act extremely smug while pretending to know what they’re talking about and it gets extremely irritating.

We don’t usually see the cracks because the propaganda machine is so strong, stronger than the average person like you and I realize. We didn’t wake up being able to see these problems, it took a very long time and process to understand that the US isn’t what it seems.

Hopefully stick around for a bit and learn some more from the many instances here, we’re always open to potential comrades willing to open their minds and cleanse themselves of a lifetime of capitalist propaganda.
