There used to be WYSIWYG GUI designers for both GTK and KDE. There was even one that generated XUL, which Firefox used for a while, IIRC.

Did all those disappear?

I just too everything in TUIs; since I program in Go, that means tview for me. It’s really low-effort to get into. But if you want a GUI, surely there’s still a UI builder for KDE.

This is really cool, and clever, and it’s neat they posted how they did this; but I think I would have just used kanata and done it in the host.

I almost used kanata instead of programming my QMK keyboard, because kanata can be used with any keyboard, which means if I need to use a different keyboard for some reason I don’t have to change how I type. Plus, oddly, I seem to have fewer accidental layer/modifier triggers with kanata.

I keep wanting to try to get it to run :(){:|: &};:. I didn’t think they’d be stupid enough to execute shell commands outside of a disposable container, so I figured rm -rf / wouldn’t really affect anything. But I thought there’d be a chance the containers might not be configured well enough to prevent a fork bomb from impacting that one server.

When I was in, the only infantry that got issued Barettas were 11C and officers. I think mechanized might have gotten them too, but they needed all the help they could get.
