Isn’t Jordan Peterson the guy who states wild assumptions and refuses to elaborate? I mean he uses quite the opposite of well defined language.

Technology@lemmy.ml•I Tried Every Todo App and Ended Up With a .txt File
1·9 months agoSaying Obsidian uses just TXT files suggest, that I could use any editor and that Obsidians file format is compatible with any editor. That is technically the truth, but the problem is, that if I decide to use another editor I might get problems because of the lacking ability to usefully edit the metadata. So, if I use Obsidian, the files are de facto not compatible with other editors.
Of course I could switch off of Obsidian and I have the raw data, so I am not locked in. But I think stating that obsidan uses just txt files without any explanation is a bit misleading.

Ich mag warmes Wetter. Das heißt nicht, dass ich freund vom Klimawandel bin, auch wenn das manchmal suggeriert wird. 🤷
That is like 10 Years old. (I did not look it up) Can we not stomp on tiny mistakes from 10 years ago?
Really? What would you do, after 3000 days of nothingness?

“Ne, morgen passt mir nicht. Da bin ich im Home-Office. Wie wäre es mit Mittwoch?”
Ok, I get that the Date API is problematic, but I wouldn’t expect anything meaningfull from
new Date("not a date").getTime()anyway. Why would you in the first place?
You use the word “declare” a lot. I am not sure, but in Nix I declare the desired state of installed packages and configurations in an obscure language and the package manger takes care of that, right?
Now the module declare reasonable default configurations? Like http server starts on system start and serves on port 80?
Now you lost me at the Home-Manger. I can declare stuff in my home folder. OK, so for user-wide configuration? For packages and configuration in the user space? Or what?
I don’t understand a thing.
