I know people who brag about not knowing how to drive. Or my aunt who doesnt know how to pump gas.

I used to work with a guy who bragged that he had never mowed a lawn and neither would his son. I heard him repeat this years later, so it wasnt just some offhanded thing he said.

Where I come from, these are not things to brag about.

I once had the unique experience of a landing in a passenger jet with no flap control. First we flew around in circles to burn off the fuel, so that we would make a smaller mess (and smaller mass!)

I’d find another dollar and give my kids a dollar each. They would stash it in the piggy bank.

That’s the neat thing: as an adult, you dont have to decide. You have the rest of your life to figure it out.

The two are mutually exlusive; If someone treats me this way, they arent my friend.

And the markets will rejoice that he only hacked off our own toes instead of the whole foot.
